This renovation project included the development of several small collaboration areas within a large open office environment. These conceptual sketches were ultimately realized in the final design.
My Capstone project gave me an opportunity to incorporate the knowledge I gained from my Theatre minor by creating a high-end retail space for theatre and formalwear clientele. This "concept store" takes its customers through a process of planning, primping, and performing. Moving from station to station and working closely with the fashion/costume designer, customers are able to have an ultimate, interactive shopping experience.

The New York Loft is a one-person residence, approximately 570 sq.ft., located in a corner apartment space. The project features a custom stair case design leading to a second story, emphasizing the importance of understanding the construction methods of the space. The design features a piece of furniture, as requested by the client, the Spindle chair by Gustav Stickley. This Arts and Crafts style is combined with simplistic contemporary elements, creating harmony and balance in the loft.
NEW YORK LOFT APARTMENT
Residential Design, Student Project
This team project was for the Interior Design Educators Council annual student competiton and was in conjunction with the Design for Supportive Enviorments, a senior level course. Researching the current design trends in the higher education field, our team carefully considered a space plan and aesthetic appealing to students and faculty as well as accommodating the different learning and studying styles for all by including multi-functional and flexible furniture solutions and the latest technological advancements. The existing space was located in a historical building, which we wanted to refresh its look but still honor its architectural features.

This project designed by Stephen Hall Architects involves a major entrance addition and renovation to a facility housing vital student services, in particular, the Military and Veterans Programs. These revit interior renderings were utilized for a design presentation to the client. The fountain rendering aided the architects to get approval to incorporate this feature into the project.

Hewlett -Packard's Continuity Services suite provides customer space for system recovery procedures. This 5,400 square foot interior renovation involved reconfiguring and expanding existing spaces within the original footprint. The design focused on providing a calming ambience to counter the high-stress nature of the customer activity. The surrounding wildlife and natural setting of this Colorado Springs based campus inspired it organic aesthetic palette.

A 13,000 square foot suite in downtown Denver's Civic Center highrise houses a business division of Hewlett-Packard which supports a medical aid state agency. While still following HP's design guidelines, this space has an understated aesthetic due to the nature of the clientele served. My involvement with this project included the development of the lobby and reception area which integrates this company's design aesthetic.
